Might a soul that is sold against the will of God become the peril that teaches Satan to cause mass extinctions and other catastrophies?
If so, then that kind of warning system would make it very obvious that one shouldn't be too stubbornly proud of ones Good Origin, because that is when evil can gain a moral advantage.
