Wow - go out of town to work a few days and it takes a bit to try and figure out where this thread has gone. 

You are correct :  Mark does refer to Yeshua dircetly as a woodworker -  I was remembering all the references as being indirect as being the som of the carpenter which most do use.   My point was that lots of what we think about what is in the bible is residual from other books and beliefs that were common in the early church and were not included in the official cannon:  Yeshua's childhood and early adult life are conspicuously missing -  unless you also read the many other "gospels" that weren't included.  Much of what are basic tenents of christian belief (like the trinity) are not in the bible as such - only the ghost of the concepts which took fleshing out.

I can't get back to speed on all I missed tonight, and going back to Mobile to work in the morning, but, when I return I am going to try and catch up.
