Hi, If I have a indoor temp of a 75 and I turn on the AC and have the thermostate set at 72. What should the air temp coming out of a vent??
Air coming out of your vents(supply air) should be 62.
Did you change your filters(return air) do you have a split unit? (THE COMPRESSOR MOTOR AND CONDENSER FAN ARE OUTSIDE)
Is that dirty (those fins must be clear of dirt)
the compressor is about maybe 20ft at the most from the coils inside the house, filters are clean, fins are pretty clean...I was in Iraq for almost3yrs and the units we had over there the AC temp coming out was around 52-55, we had the thermostats set at 73, and would cool off a room in a hour or so, even if the power was out for a couple hours the temp could be well in the 110 or so.. i bought a little window unit and it seems to whole lot better job than my Central Air unit.
You could be low on gas ...........Your evaporator could be blocked(that is in the blower unit) sometimes when your low on gas it will have a ice buildup also if the fins are blocked with dirt it will stop air flow
