I am no expert, but why not think about where Joseph would have been at the time he made the will and see if he recorded it with local county or city government? If there is nothing in the public records at city or county hall, and Joseph just made a will and kept it to himself, you need to go back to his saved paperwork and talk to people he may have been around and who may know something.
