Esophagitis

well i have recently being diagnosed with esophagitis grade 3 which is pretty severe.i have been prescribed pariet 20mg twice a day. i am taking it and it has been helpful. i have made small changes in my diet as well.dont have heartburn any more but still have acid reflux. can someone please advise how to get rid of acid reflux. i am 25 years old and am trying to get pregnant. can someone please advise if it is safe to fall pregnant while i have this condition and if it is safe to continue taking pariet during pregnancy? thanks

Hi, this is a good question.  I found a

website that tells about the medicine that is safe to take for heartburn during pregnancy.  When I had bad acid reflux, the gastro. gave me nexium.  It's supposed to not only stop the acid reflux but repair the damage that acid reflux causes.  Maybe you should ask your doctor about this.  It's a purple pill.  Also, if you see a good woman's doctor, she/he should be able to help you with all these questions.  I'm positive that you are not the first person who had these problems and wanted to be pregnant.  Good luck.

Go to a doctor and get tested for H Pylori they can give you antibiotics to get rid of it.  Here is more info on
