Internet explorer will not open when you click on the icon.This is the error message I get.
"Cannot find the file "http://oca.microsoft.com/resredir.aspx?SID=635&iBucket-22796504&LCID=1033 "(or one of its componets). make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the reqiured libraries are available."
I am using Windows 98SE and IE 6.0
I can use AOL account to connect with Internet OK and all my e-mail accounts work also. IE was working OK until yesterday's storm (power went off for about 30 minutes)- not sure why.
Do I need to uninstall IE and download it again or is there a easier way to correct the problem? I tried the program "regcure" (from the Microsoft website), but that didn't work. I only have less than 5 GB of space on my hard drive so I can't install too many more programs.
I know that this is an old computer and I should replace it, but it still work most of the time and what I need to do.
