Aliester Crowley studied the occult in a more scientific manner, but yes, these three books are about the occult.  This is a review of the third book that I found on Amazon.com:

An in depth collection of esoteric essays from the early 20th century. Subjects covered include meditation, drugs, veiled references to ritual sex, yoga, art, literature, magickal history, current (early 20th century) occult topics. The literary reviews are hilarious, if you are familiar with the subject. The advertisments in the back are fascinating.

Go to this link and you will see the pricing of just the third volume in the series.  From there at Amazon, you may be able to get an idea of what the set is worth.

They're certainly worth buying as collectibles. I won't comment on what they may be worth as information.

"Most people see things as they are, and ask, 'why'? But I think of things that never were, and ask, 'why not'?" -- George Bernard Shaw.

Sounds like a fascinating set of books! And an expensive one! (Wish I could afford them, as well...but I doubt I'd be able to, sigh!) Anyway, my best advice would be to go to www.wikipedia.org and look up "Alestair Crowley". Wikipedia gives very complete information -- and at the end, are often LINKS to even MORE information! (Also, you could just put up the TITLES of the books, and see what Wikipedia has to say about them.) Putting your question into the "Ask.com" search box, could, (maybe!), also yield some interesting results! Another source for info is www.BloodyRareBooks.com. This website sells rare, (and expensive!), books on mystery and the occult. They also sell rare movie posters. A title or two might seem interesting to you...and if you can't afford them, either go to Amazon.com, Powells.com, or Alibris.com. These sometimes have books at lower prices than BloodyRare has them for, and sometimes they give summaries of the books in their descriptions. OR -- you mihgt want to put the titles of the books up in your Browser, and see what happens! Hope this works! If you find any magic spells that work in your new books, please use them ONLY for good! The world REALLY needs help now -- and YEDDA members, it seems, ESPECIALLY want all things to work out well for everyone! (PS: If your wish is to win the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes, please give thought to also asking that I, "Just Me", will win second prize!) : ) : ) Hope this helps!
