Some people are afraid of people not like them. It's simple ignorance. All people should have equal rights, and that includes marriage. Pedophiles are straight, 99% of the time, so the comment about their "urges" and children is a joke. Which brings me to religion- 

The bible is full of racist, sexist, genocidal garbage- so much that if it were any other book we'd never allow a child to read it. They believed in ethnic cleansing, shoot they sound like modern day terrorists, killing for their "GOD". People are blinded by stupidity, and sadly, religious people tend to be the most ignorant. Anyone who believes religion over science needs help and some education. Oh ya, to the person here taking their child out of school for fear of pedophiles, better keep them out of church, more pastors are child molesters than homosexuals. That is statistics, but of course, religious people don't believe in evidence and statistics.
