Entertainment: How far will Vanessa Hudgens go?

Hudgens will play a character named Sam in the movie Will, a coming-of-age story about a high school rock band made up of misfits.

The movie began production in Austin in February 2008; it's described as a dramedy about a popular girl forming a rock band with a bunch of young outcasts who come together over their love of music and compete in a local Battle of the Bands.

Hudgens's role is that of a 15-year-old former stutterer who gets involved with the lead outcast. 

Later this year, Hudgens will resume her role as Gabriella Montez in the third installment of High School Musical, this time for theatrical release, rather than airing on TV's Disney Channel.

I think if she stays out of the party scene and continues on the path she's taken up until now, she will definitely be one of the most sought after actresses in the business today.

I think that she and Zac Efron will go a long ways together...

Will see about that. How far she can go depends on the maturity of the role she would be playing on the film, and how she portray and deliver the role on the movie. At her age and having sweet face, all I could say is, my rating would be on her acting.
