Hi Denise, I just spoke to my doc about this same procedure.  I've been on a wonderful pill to control my heavy bleeding since 1997.  It's called Aygestin.  I take one pill every day 5 mg with no side effects.  My doc and I talked over the pros and cons and we both decided that being on Aygestin was better than having scar tissue build up which can be painful.  So, I suggest speaking with your doc about the pros and cons as well as Aygestin.  They have a generic form now so if you don't have prescription insurance it should still be affordable.   Good luck,  Diana
