The End of Humanity

What approximate year will mark the end of the Human race, and what will be the reason?

I don't see an end coming. There will be catastophies that will kill lots of people (wars, terror, famine, environmental disasters) but I think enough people will survive all this to keep the ball rolling.

That's an interesting question....

2100 AD - Global warming.  (I think)

We're a plague and the only thing that will stop us is us. (Our own greed, consumption and waste, which are topics that are not that unrelated.)

Just ignore this answer and move on to the next. I'm so paranoid, I'm thankful to every living day. I have no idea how or when, but something tells me that it'll have something to do with greed.

The website basically presumes that Technology is advancing in an exponential rate, and has far surpassed natural evolution. Meaning that in the near future (Kurzweil says 2025-2030) technology will allow us to radically transform and enhance ourselves. Immortality, full immersion VR, strong AI. Things that may sound like science fiction are turning out to be not only possible, but very close.I'd advise you to read up at least some of those topics, or just find one of Kurzweil's books: The Age of Spiritual Machines, and The Singularity Is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology are his best, in my opinion.
