Yes.  Emotions are one of the most powerful forces on earth.  They can lead to war or peace, or something in between.  Probably the biggest help though that everyone needs with emotions, (besides understanding how they color your world) is to be heard and understood.  It is usually not helpful to let emotions get too bottled up. 

People often misquote the old saying "As you think, so is it".  But the quote is:  "As you think, in your heart, so is it."  Thought combined with emotion helps create the environment we live in.

Probably yes, though there is a lot of disagreement as to what help is really needed, and what works.

I think that whatever works is great, and that some people find conventional psychology helpful, while others might opt fot Yoga to help them channel their emotions.
