Authorities confirmed that a body found Thursday Nov. 29 was that of college student Emily Sander, who vanished Nov. 23 from El Dorado, Kan. Her case drew major coverage after it became known she appeared on a pornographic Web site.
Sander's body was found off a highway near Toronto, Kan., about 50 miles east of El Dorado. The body has been released to her family. Information about an autopsy and her cause of death were sealed.
Investigators are looking for Israel Mireles, 24, who was seen leaving a bar with Sander the night she vanished. Police believe he fled with his 16-year-old girlfriend, who is seven months pregnant.
Mireles' employer said blood was found splattered all over a motel room in which Mireles was staying. The rental car he was driving that night was found abandoned Tuesday in Vernon, Texas, where he has relatives.
Does that fact that Sander posed nude for a pornographic website take away from that fact that she was murdered more than likely by a 24-year-old male who has impregnated his 16-year-old girlfriend?
