The truth of the matter is, the united States was hoping that Pakistan would move towards democracy and because of that they invested billions of dollars in helping Pakistan achieve stability. Unfortunately for them this declaration, of an emergency situation, is a huge step backwards and I think that the emergency situation declared is meant to show everyone who's the boss in Pakistan.
Now the Americans have some tough decisions to make. Do they cease supporting Pakistan and risk the Taliban getting stronger or continue helping Pakistan and risk a country with nuclear capability become a dictatorship.
Only time will tell...
