I think my favorite Elvis moment is a live recording, I can't remember which song, in which one of the backing singers was singing completely over the top and Elvis couldn't help himslef and he just started cracking up while singing...

I think his whole musical life was one big highlight except the Hollywood section of his life. There is a quote which I think describes his life best to me:

“Some people tap their feet, some people snap their fingers, and some people sway back and forth. I just sorta do ‘em all together, I guess.”

I think Elvis's early career was especially enjoyable and in a way, revolutionized entertainment. Who can forget "Blue Hawaii" or "Viva Las Vegas" ?This 638 1960's song collection includes a wonderful tribute to Elvis

Jailhouse Rock.  Young, unspoiled by fame, sexy,  edgy, shocking (by 1950's standards), and without precedent.
