Elephant man (Proteus) John Merrick Baby

If you were pregnant, and found out your baby had "Proteus Syndrom" (like the Elephant Man), would you keep your baby?

Would you let your son become the new John Merrick?

In my opinion the world is tough enough for a completely normal person. I would not continue with a pregnancy that I knew would result in a deformed child...especially one that couldn't be helped by modern medicine. I feel that to willingly produce a child with this deformity is just CRUEL... especially for the child.

I feel like God wouldn't give you anything you couldn't handle. have you seen the movie mask? with cher and eric stoltz. I believe he had that disease. he led a good life and had fun just like any other kid. I believe our children , whether they have a disability or not, teach us how to love unconditionally, no matter what is wrong with someone. I don't believe it is morally right for us to give up on our own children just because they have something wrong with them. I think that it is selfish of the mother to not continue with the pregnancy because they obviously don't have enough love to care for their child no matter what.
