Electrical Engineering DC Voltage

I am installing a homeade wind generator [alternator]. I am at the point which the wire sizing needs to be done. I have 4 12V batteries to be wired in series and connected to a 3,000 Watt power inverter. Windman.

depending on length of wire i would recomend 4or6 ottwire
