In cars with electric mirrors, are there two motors in every mirror, one for moving it up and down and another one to move it left and right, or one motor with complicated transmission?
There's no single model for side view mirror motor, but most of them work on single motor, along with inverting spindles.

As far as I know there is only one motor in side mirrors. I got a good look at my father's car's side mirror when I broke it. It's simply more economical for the car companies.
