Effects of global warming on different parts of the world

It seems like there's very little doubt now that global warming is real and there's a lot to worry about -- even George W. Bush understands it... I know that the global warming is not actually going to be "global": for example, the experts predict that England will become colder than it is today because the Gulf stream may stop. Is there a list of places that will become warmer and places that will become colder?

Global climate change will make most places hotter, some places colder, and some places under water.

Changes are not linear and gradual but rather sudden and in some cases exponential.

If the gulf stream stops, europe will most probably go into an ice-age, and most of the world will be affected.

Don't believe those who downplay this phenomenon or the importance of the need to act.

I highly recommend the movie "an inconvenient truth" - watch the trailer and visit the film's website at http://www.climatecrisis.net/

This in an incredibly complex field, and there are many groups working on these models, and therefore there are many estimates that often contradict eachother. You can see a map that shows what you're asking for in this web page. However, always take these estimates with a grain of salt.

BTW, if you're really interested in climate chagne, check out realclimate.org.

While I haven't found a list of places and the expected effect on them due to global warming (yet), I did find a list of predicted effects listed here.

Perhaps this answers a part of your question.

Don't worry !!!! Some new data from satellites shows that indeed the glaciers in Europe are melting, but you will be surprised to know that  the thickness of  the biggest ice sheet  in the world (Antarctica) is growing, and increasing in its dimensions. Beside that - the osone-hole became smaller !!!   So - maybe. all the "warming" is just a little event in the cycle of our beloved earth.

George Bush realizes global warming does exist but does not know if it is something inevitable and not necesserly caused by just human pollution.

"I think we have a problem on global warming. I think there is a debate whether it's cause by mankind, or whether it's caused naturally, but it's a worthy debate." -George Bush

Nothing is impossible

Global warming does not mean that the entire planet is warm all over in the same time. This phenomena means that basically the sun waves bouncing off the planet and usually sent back to space are trapped between the earth and the unosphere (the upper limit of the atmosphere) and create a green-house effect that traps all the heat in around the globe. The temperatures will still be different between the side away from the sun (Winter) and the side closer to the sun (Summer) but in AVERAGE, the temperatures will increase over time in total and will create disturbances around the globe. The disturbances are both in weather aspects (such as instabilities in air flow that create typhoons in unpredictable places) and life-cycle apsects in general... i.e. Bears that can't hibernate, baby birds being born when there is no anough food around as the worms are reproducing earlier now etc. The effects are very strong and address all aspects of life. I strongly suggest to watch Al Gore's movie "The Inconvenient Truth". You can get it on Amazon.

Due to global warming, in different places in the world the climate has changed. Ice caps in the South and North Pole are breaking and melting which is causing rising sea levels. This is also causing for those who live next to the North and the South part of the world for example Greenland and UK. Plants and animals are dying because of the weather patterns and increases of diseases around the world, Britain’s Coastline are flooding and loss towns, hurricanes and tornadoes are hitting the US and the ecosystem is changing.
