Well back in the days the natives of Africa use to eat elephants but now they are protected specie, but here is an old African recipe.

They say elephant meat is good for sexual performance, and among the strange and bizarre foods in Thailand looks like they serve Elephant as well.

Bridging the gap between "long tail" and "paradox of choice".

technically speaking the answer is yes.  A while back, in Botswana I had a chance to try and I was unable to swallow after chewing for a few minues.

Yes, Elephant is very much edible. It tastes like Gazelle Meat. You should try it out. We eat Elephant in Kenya.
