Why do people still think losing weight is going to be easy? If it were so easy, wouldn't people lose the weight and be done with it?

Is this a case of wishful thinking?

Live life to the fullest. 

People think it's easy because that's what weight loss advertisements say. The fact of the matter is, weight loss is a lifestyle change. When a person is willing to accept the change in its entirety, he/she will be successful in losing weight and keeping it off.

Fully agree with DrJames. 1 year ago I changed my job position so I had more time to choose what to eat and to start doing some exercises again. As a flying dutchman i stayed to much in hotel with no lust to exercise. Now i lost 16 kilos - it did not go fast but it stays.

The change in lifestyle makes it a become persitent, otherwise you are like a jojo - fast down - fast up again

It really depends on the person who wanted to lose some weight. It is also a psychological effort to lose weight, it is not only a physical matter.
