Sudafed (the original kind, with pseudoephedrine) could relieve your sinus problem.  You could also press on your cheeks with your thumb and forefinger right underneath your cheekbones -- that can help the sinuses to drain.

If things like this don't help, or if you're concerned in any way, seeing a doctor is a good idea.

Pseudoephedrine is definitely your best option in terms of immediate relief with a non-prescription drug. I like the Advil Cold and Sinus tablets better than Sudufed, but just try to find something with a high dose of Pseudoephedrine. Unfortunately, the problem with it is that it's not very good for you on a regular basis and chronic conditions should not be treated with it for longer than a few days.

You can also try some herbal Ear Oil.  Mullein, (in oil form, not dry herb) is a good pain killer and mucous loosener. After you have the drops in your ears for a little while, you'll feel the mucous become a bit looser and you can then have a hot shower or steam inhalation to clear your sinuses and ears.

Here is the real answer.  The middle ear drains into the nose.  Therefore, you need to treat the nose.  I agree with the decongestant suggestions.  But wait!!  There is more!  You need to treat the nose.  Wash it out with salt water. [Boil one quart of water and add one teaspoon of salt when it has cooled. Be a man and sniff it out of your hand.  Or be like me and buy a spray bottle from the dollar store.  Be sure you clean it out well.  Dilute bleach (1:4 or more) and rinse it at least three times.] Gently blow the goop out.  AND THEN; use a spray of generic Afrin.  Do follow the suggestions on the bottle.
