Docssietoroz.Comi had the shingles last october on the left side of my head and face and eye. Then in december i got them on the right side, but not as severe. I have seen a neurosurgeon,he has told me i need possibly surgery, but
So far the surgery is not done in the usa, only in turkey, this has me puzzled as to all the talented doctors we have here in the usa. It is called,ct-guided tractotomy of the spinal trigeminaln tract. Of course being a senior citizen on social
Security i can not go to turkey. Have you heard of this surgery? And what has the "shingles" have to do with causing this awful problem. It has affected my vision i can see but not able to read regular print. My diagnosis said "significant allodynia, hypesthesia , hypalgesia, left v1 and v2 and needs the above surgery, if this does not go away i am in consant pain most of the day and night, these attacks as i call them come on 12--20 times a day. They have me vicadin for pain. My scalp gets so hot it is like some poured boiling water on my head. I have had eye surgery for the shingles in my eyes and it has left my eyes without any moisture, must use drops and ointments hourly. I guess it is a waiting game to see if by the years of onset whether it lessens or the surgery is an option. Just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this? And i would appreciate any feed back. I forgot one thing apparentally it has left me with"herpetic neuralgia also.
Sincerely,
