I have the sony prs505 and love it! Got in xmas 2009. The battery lasts forever and is easy to charge (can buy optional adaptor or just plug the usb to a computer and it just charges as you surf the net. It holds 160 books plus many many more using a memory card. You do a one time install of the program on your computer. It is just like itunes. After it is installed click on the icon on your desktop, it opens the program, click on the store and you can see all the book covers and read about the books, search by author, category, price, etc. Add what you want to your shopping cart by clicking it, then click checkout, enter your credit/debit card info (only have to do this once, it saves the info) or put in a code from a gift card. Then it downloads to your library on the program. You attach the usb to the reader and the computer and just drag the books to the reader. I did 8 books in a couple minutes recently. It does not have a light because lights drain the battery, just buy a cheap one for 4 bucks like I did for car rides, etc. It is also a MP3 player and holds pictures in black and white (which i dont care about since I just wanted a reader not a photoalbum. The Kindle makes it seem so great that you download their books from their reader instant wifi but I really cant see any time I would need an instant book since my reader holds 160 books plus more with the memory card so I doubt I run out of reading material. It has a strong case, is really thin and easy on the eyes. It supports other formats so you can get books on other ebooks sites if sony does not have what you want. You can find programs on the internet to format some of the files. You get 100 classics free and they have many sale books, some free books, and bundle packs. I love mine.
