is there a good dutch-english dictionary online? I'm looking for the meaning of the dutch word "gezeleg" and the dictionary I found didn't recognize this word.

You should have looked for "gezellig".

In general, it is a very Dutch word that doesn't translate very well.

But the idea is a friendly and cozy feeling together with people you like.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gezelligheid for an attempt to describe it.

Thanks! It matches the vague memory I had for the meaning of the word.

However, if this type of thing becomes a question again, I use http://www.freetranslation.com/ The above site is great for language translation and it has a Dutch to English version and offers many other language translations, all for free. Jen
