Dust allergy- what should I do?

I recently found out that I have a bad allergy to dust. What is the best way to get rid of dust in my house on a regular basis, without it being incredibly time consuming?

One of my sons had severe allergies to dust, also. We had to cover both his and his brother's mattresses with plastic covers. Whenever you sit on a mattress or couch it emits dust into the air. Get rid of curtains and venetian blinds. Use roll up shades; they collect less dust. In the other rooms in your home you might change to the blinds that are fabric and are easily vacuumed or dusted. At night, use a cool water vaporizer; this helps to keep the dust down and not floating around. Invest in "Swiffer" dusters and mops. You'd be surprised in how much dust accumulates in one day on your floor. Its a lot easier than dragging the vacuum cleaner out. We were lucky and had an in-the-wall vacuum system. You might want to check to see what kind of vacuum cleaner you have. If it has a filter that keeps dust from coming out of the exhaust that would be your best choice. I hate to tell you this, but you need to vacuum your rugs every two to three days to keep the dust out; however this also will keep your rugs newer looking longer. It seems like a lot of work, but its better than going to the emergency room for an epinephrine shot or getting bloody noses. Hope that this helps.

I believe my Ecoquest Fresh Air machine will be of great help to you, this amazing technology, stops ALL dust from floating through the air, uses no filters and covers up to 3000 square feet. It kills all odors,bacteria,norovirus,bedmites,e-coli and a host of others. It is not much bigger than a shoe box so it's really unobtrusive. All info can be found on my website www.ecoquestintl,com/mm or www.ecoquestmedia.com

use the shaklee products. Dust and vacuum everyday. Maybe switching to shaklee products will help clean the house up.  Invest in Shaklee iknstead of swifter dusters.

Use a HEPA filter for your HVAC (heat vents air conditioning).  We have two, one for upstairs and one for downstairs.  They keep the house free of dust when the doors and windows are closed.  If you go on vacation for 2 weeks, you'll see almost no dust has accumulated by the time you get back.  The HEPA filters purify the air.  We also have hardwood floors with area rugs that can be sent out for cleaning, and shutters instead of curtains.

Get rid of all clutter, and don't have  table clothes, etc dust traps in all things cloth or linen, and remember to dust wood once a week with a damp soft cloth no sprays this builds up wax which traps more dust vacuum daily.

Allergic pain, we find that allergic disturbance is nerve disturbance in respiratory track itself, not allergic determinants, In fact, people around him or her don’t experience the problem with the air they breathe together. And the real factor is the increase of infraorbitalic nerve sensitivity in respiratory, the area of nose, sometimes until the area of lungs. Nerves in the area of nose are more sensitive than common one. This is affected by the various causes. Nerve gets the increase of sensitivity. The structure of muscles, blood vessel in the area has got the change elasticity and solidity. This case is caused by improper treatment.

As I know from a book titled “Avoid Addiction to Medicine “ that dust allergy can also be caused by  the increase of sensitivity nerve and the decrease of body immunity.

Dusting takes time, but it is worthwhile. Try using a slightly damp cloth. Washing things really cleans rather than moving the dust around or leaving a film of sprays. Here are some helps: keep your vacuum in good working order. At the very least, buy a canister vacuum with good air filtration as well as bags (if it uses bags) that keep out allergens. keep your bed pillows clean. If you use old feather pillows, have feathers cleaned and get new ticking for the pilllow. Have your heating/coolilng ducts cleaned out. After you dust, your house won't fill up quickly with dust from the vents. Keep your carpets clean. Consider getting rid of carpeting in heavy traffic areas and replace carpets with floors that can be vacuumed and mopped. keep your ceiling fans clean and your window blinds clean. Clean or vacuum all the fabric in your house: chair cushions, couches, draperies, curtains etc. You will breathe much easier. To save time, consider replacing dust-catching fabrics with other kinds of window treatments and furniture covers. Nasal douches help when irritates threaten to become infections. Gargling with 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar in 1 cup of water, helps keep the throat clean when mucus starts to irritate the throat. Do this at the first sign of a sore throat several times each day.
