Dryer : To Repair or replace

My dryer's heating element seems to have stopped working. The washer and dryer are both 10 years old or more (my stepmother and my father married in 1992 and died in 2002. I am not sure when they last replaced these appliances).  Should I try to get it repaired or just get new ones, or at least a new dryer, and what do you recommend in the Richmond, VA area?

Elva, I grew up raising 4 children   and always found it cheaper to buy new--or used  ---because it never fails when they fix one thing something else is gonna break.

Just Win baby!

You may want to do the following:

1) Buy used applicances.  Cheaper but at you own risk.  Salvation Army, Appliance Recycle Stores, For Sale by Owner, Classified Ads

2) I know Sears has Scratch & Dent Stores in most cities.  Cheaper and under warranty.

3) Repair it but is old and will use a lot of Electricity.

4) Buy them new from BrandsMart, Costco, BJ's, etc......
