I've got a four prong dryer with a three prong outlet. Whats my easiest and cheapest fix??
I've just always gone to Lowe's or Home Depot and bought the correct cord and replaced it. Then keep the old one so if that happens again you will have that one too to re-use. It should cost under $20.
I've tried that and with the four wiered dryers the replacement cords only have three wires and after i hooked it up it ran for a while but now it shoots sparks out at the On button and smokes from the back. As if its not grounded.. What do I do??
