Driver for esternal harddisk casing to Vista

I have a hard disk casing to an external harddisk from E-tech, but now I have bought a new lap-top with Vista installed, at it cannot communicate with my external harddisk. Probably because the driver is missing. Does anyone knoe, how to make this work. I have been unable to find drivers anywhere on the internet. Morten Glarfeldt, Denmark

An external hard drive is using the regular USB driver (like a USB disk on key). Is your external hard drive equipped with a power supply? If not there should be a dual head USB cable for connecting to a second USB outlet for power. Most Laptops don't have enough power on one USB jack for an external hard drive.
