Dream of pure Fear.

I have these dreams where i loose my physical abbility to do what i need to.  Like i'll be running away from someone and i just crumble to the ground and have this horrible feeling of helpless ness.  Other dreams i'll be anywhere, in a room, out side ect... and all of a sudden im am affraid im going to encounter something that scares the shit out of me... the fear of not knowing what it is, is what really gets to me...  it could be some sort of monster or anything.  But theres nothing there... and the fear an panic builds up to where i just crumble and struggle to wake up!!! this sucks!

Hi Rick,

You seem to have anxiety disorder.  Why don't you see a Psychologist?

I don't know?... i think i don't want to see one cause they'll perscribe me drugs and being a recovering addict i don't like that idea.  I would like to think that there's a way to overcome anxiety with out meds.  I could be totally wrong though.

These dreams are occurring because in your waking daily life something is upsetting you terribly and you probably keep pushing it to the back of your mind but our fears always reveal themselves in our dreams.  Whatever this problem is that's upsetting you, you feel powerless to solve it, then when you dream, your feeling of powerlessness comes out in the form of physical inability to run or escape it.  Try and figure out what's been bothering you and think of different scenarios that you might try in solving this and maybe a more positive stronger you will be revealed in those dreams, not to mention your waking life too!  Wishing you the best

You never say hello to you until you get it on the redline, overload.  You never know what you can do until you try.

Rick,

Going to see a Psychologist does not mean you have to be on meds.  Dreams like this can be a door to a deeper understanding of what is going on with us and can help us to understand and move beyond fears that we have.  As a recovering addict, you probably know that alot of healing comes from learning new ways of coping with our inner "demons".  Being willing to fearlessly look at everything about our inner world is the way we regain inner strength and power.

As scary as they are, these dreams are a very positive message for you to use.
