How do I find the fair market value for kitchen appliances, cabinets, countertops, etc. that I have donated to Habitat for Humanity? I need this information to fill out the Federal tax form 8283.

Hello JB: Actually I have found (many times) used appliances being sold by an individual garner what the Market Will Bear. The best place to see a few examples is www.craigslist.com . If you know a professional used appliance dealer he would be the best one to ask. They seem to be looking for the Newest to repair and sell. John
