Donate living fruit trees

I have a 8 or more fruit trees in my back yard that are growing.

We are going to build a pool and want to donate these trees to charity. They would have to dig them out is there any organization that does this -  how would I contact them? Please help me email ODSENDSBKS@aol.com

thank you

Life is a one lap race. Make many pitstops.

Locate your nearest tree farm that owns a tree spade truck. Let them know that you want to donate the trees. They can probably find a suitable recipent for your trees. They will remove your trees with the tree spade and cover the hole just like they were never there.

I do not know what community you reside, however, if you were to contact your local municipality and ask for local organizations, you will probably discover one of them can help you.  In my community we have an parks and recreation organization who is a non-profit tax exempt organization who will come out to look at the trees.  They then give you a donation letter, telling you what your trees are worth, which you may take off of your taxes at the end of the year.  They then call trees-on-the-move and move the trees to a location which will be beneficial to them.  Thereby, the owner has donated their trees, the oganization is able to relocate those trees, rather than having them destroyed.  Win - Win situation.
