Warm-blooded animals have different ways of sweating. Dogs, cats and mice have sweat glands on their feet. Dogs pant when they are hot because their sweat glands are not sufficient to cool down their bodies. In addition, their tongues allow the water from their bodies to evaporate and cool down their bodies.

Cats do not pant, but they lick the bottoms of their paws and their chests to cool down. The water on their fur will cool down their bodies. Rabbits have sweat glands around their lips. Birds pant when they are hot and this will cause water to escape through their air sacs.

Humans have sweat glands all over their body.  However, cats and dogs have glands primarily on their paw-pads.  Cats and dogs do indeed sweat, but it appears that they don't because we can't normally see the bottom of their paw-pads.

What comes around goes around.

Dogs have the ability to sweat, but in places that are a little different from humans. Dogs sweat through their pads and feet. Their skin and armpit areas don't contain sweat glands like ours do. Their main method of ridding themselves from heat, however, is by panting, which is a very different mechanism than what we generally use.

I must say, my obese cat's armpits are awfully warm. I'd say I've felt sweat before... But, she doesn't have any B.O. or anything.
