Deborah, I commend you on having attained clairvoyance. As you can see, I lack that faculty, and must do my best without it. Woodman, Your post is lengthy---I haven't time to match its length. So, just the main points: I'm not twisting your words---just trying to explore them. If they lead to absurd conclusions, it's not my fault---you should reexamine them. With your parking lot analogy, you are saying that god is not omnipotent (otherwise he would protect the child). I agree. I think he lacks omnipotence because he lacks existence. "If you don't believe Jesus exsisted..." Hold it right there. I do believe he existed. There are no serious doubts about that. I also think much of what he said was accurately reported and absolutely brilliant---well worth basing a religion upon. What I deny is that a creator god exists. It puzzles me why you confuse the two. Indeed, if a creator god did exist, Jesus would be far greater than him. "Again, in the dichomic world we live in (not my theory, check with your science teach)" I think by 'dichomic' you mean 'dichotomic'. My first degree was in Physics, and, checking my science teach, I can tell you that there's nothing inherently dichotomic about the universe. Splitting things into two (or more) catagories is only one habit of thought that some people use some of the time for some things. I don't see what your point about it is. "There is no evil without good, no suffering without happiness." I don't see why there can't be. For example, do you think there's suffering in heaven? Do you think that god is evil as well as good? "Following your line of thought on the parking lot story, a person should never get married, never have children.." No---we weren't talking about people. You were talking about a creator god. Such a god shouldn't create a universe if he can't make a good one, or if he can't maintain it. "If I'm wrong, what did I lose? If your wrong?" If you are wrong, besides wasting your life, you will be lead into lax morality which will cause suffering for yourself and others. Being wrong about this will leave you open to countless painful blunders. If I'm wrong and there is even a single person with both compassion and omnipotence, then I don't have anything to worry about, do I? Of course, since suffering exists, there is obviously no such person. Rocmike3, It's my sincere wish that you apply your charm and good sense to missionary work.
