Replacing the distributor in a 2006 Chevy Truck 1500 4.3 L Vortex Engine.
Distributor Replacement, and was accidentally moved from TDC by my son hitting the switch and rotating the engine while the distributor had been removed.
One site tell's me after bringing the engine to TDC to point the rotor button on cylinder 6 ...
And I have always set up on cylinder 1 after bringing the cylinder to compression up and setting TDC on the # 1 cyl. Then set the rotor on the number one plug on the distributor cap. After doing it this way the engine still doesn't start. Where did this old mechanic mess up? I have been disabled sense 1992 and the newest manual I have is 1996.
Thank you!
