All of a sudden, my incoming mail is not being posted chronologically, nor is my sent mail. This randomness is annoying and time-wasting. How can I get it back to chronological orer?
They are in the message list just on top. So you open a folder and see all your mail in there. This is your mail list. Then you have columns subject, sender (email addresses), the date of the message etc. Just follow the list to the top and you see the heading for each column. You can change the sorting of the message list by clicking on the column header and thus sort the message list by date, sender, subject or whatever you want there.
If you have Outlook Express:
<View> <Sort> select whichever order you wish
Do the same when you go into Sent Mail.
I assume you are using AOL Webmail (http://webmail.aol.com). You can change the sorting by clicking on the headers of the columns like "subject", "date" etc. This will change the sorting. Due to the small issue we are investigating, please wait at least 2 minutes so your settings get saved and permanent.
Thanks for the note. However, I cannot find those columns to which you refer ("subject", "date") on my AOL Webmail. Where are they?
Thanks! I must have inadvertently hit on the column header before, which resulted in posting the messages in non-chronological order. But I did as you suggested, and now I got it the way I want it!
