I like Pinocchio. Pinocchio was created by his father, a puppeteer named Geppetto. Geppetto wanted to have a real son, and his wish was partially fulfilled when Pinocchio came to life. The puppet boy was still made of wood, however, and had to earn his status as a human being through various adventures.
