Every story has an end but in life, every end is just a new beginning.

Discrepancy between what Obama says and does

Obama says he believes in equal pay for men and women. How does he explain than that the women who work in his Senate office only make $0.83 on the dollar and average $9,000 less a year than men?

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Zagameza,

Maybe he did not have the power to make the pay adjustment as Senator. As president he would have the power. I believe him when he says he will fight for equal pay. Mccain voted against raising the minimum wage.

Be Blessed.

If you want to make peace you don't talk to your friends, you talk to your enemies. - Moshe Dayan

He does have the power to change this discrepancy but he doesn't because he doesn't really care. He says one thing and does another thing. He's lying to Americans to get votes, plain and simple. Is that the kind of president we want? I know I don't.

Jake,

That is exactly why you have the free choice not to vote for Obama.

I know that John Mccain has not done anything for me, that's why I have the free choice not to vote for him.

I guess our votes will cancel each other's out. See you at the polls!

Be Blessed.

Laugh more: tears cloud one's vision.

It is called a combination of racism and sexism.  Neither have any place in America.  Here, we pay people an agreed rate under United Farm Workers contract.  We harvest grapes in June, hay in July and August, Corn, Soy, and Sorghum in September, and timber year around.  We also plant new trees year around.  All our people are covered under Labor and Industries (we pay dearly for that but it is the right thing to do) and we have yet to suffer an un-planned layoff.

In the winter, we tend vines, rack wine, and do whatever else needs to be done.  There will always be horses to feed for the hunting outfitter service my husband runs, gear to maintain, and lots more.

But we make a point to pay fair and play fair.

Obama should also.

But he never will.  It is entirely a matter of poor leadership.
