Discolored Skin

My little boy is 6 years old and he has had a tan line on his belly ever since he was a baby.  You can actually see where he got a tan around his diaper because his skin is such different colors.  Also, whenever he gets a scap and it comes off, it turns into another white spot.  He is getting older self conscience about it.  I want to help him but I can't find a diagnosis.

A healthy relationship starts with trust and honesty and a big warm genuine smile.
 

It sounds like your son could be suffering from Actinic Keratosis / Sun Damage or a form of Brown Spots / Melasma. You can read a little about them here.

I would suggest taking him to a dermatologist to get checked out as this could be something more serious than just a discoloring of the skin.

He might just actually have a genetic disorder of the melanocytes in his skin.  Its not something to actually worry about; however, its not something he will ever be able to get rid of either!

Helping your way out on Skin Tags

Skin problem like this can also be of impure blood in the body. Before its too late you should take him to a skin expert so that proper diagnosis can be done. Don't delay.
