Does anyone have an idea of what percentage of scooter riders inside of grocery stores and shopping malls, can actually walk without assistance and are simply lazy? I think the number would surprise most people.
Yesterday's gone and Today is going fast, Tomorrow is all we have, Until it to has passed
I think you're right. Besides have you noticed that most of them are so fat that they can't even waddle through the isles? Wonder why they are so fat that their joints have given out from the immense weight on their frames? Laziness in the first place. If they weren't so lazy they wouldn't be so fat and if they weren't so fat they would be able to carry their own weight, a normal weight that is, on the skelton they were born with. And if they weren't so fat they wouldn't be out of breath trying to take a few steps and do a little shopping. I've noticed around here where I live, you don't see NORMAL size people riding them, just big fat cows that can't walk because if they had walked in the first place they wouldn't be so fat as to need a scooter in the second place!!!!
Sometimes we put up walls not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.
Do you two have any idea of the number of people who actually walk through these stores in pain without riding a scooter because of the looks from judgmental people like you???? You can't possibly know how these people feel and what's wrong with them. And, no, I don't ride one and didn't even after my back surgery . Annette, I've seen some good answers on here from you; however this is not one of them!!
Who cares? I can walk but not far or very long. And they don't have chairs for you to set on so what is a person to do? Get permission from you to ride?
You people didn't get the picture. I don't know where you live, but here in the midwest we are beseiged by obese people in their 30's and 40's who are just to lazy to get off their fat butts and move. I have seen far too many people with REAL handicaps that can't get a scooter or have to wait 15 min. to a half hour to get one, because some 300 or 400 pounder has to use one because there all taken up by the people who are just to fat and lazy to walk. It's pretty sad when 80 year olds full of arthritis, with aching joints have to hobble through the stores, rather then have to wait a half an hour for a scooter.
I have to be honest I never used to pay attention until the day I needed one. I had a severely sprained ankle that I was forced to stay off of for over 3 months, and took a full 2 years to heal completely. I was on crutches for those 3 months, and everytime I went to a store to get groceries, I had to wait for some fat person to finish before I could get one. Am I predjudice against fat lazy people, you bet, weight is something you can control, accidents and old age ARE NOT! For those people who REALLY need them, it's a crying shame to have to wait or not get one, because some obese pig, allowed themselves to get that way in the first place. They are meant to be used for people with REAL medical problems, not the lazy and the fat!!!!!!!!!
I think Emmit43's BRAIN is lazy! I have arthritis of the spine, post polio syndrome, etc., and, through a regimen of appetite suppressants and exercise have dropped 100 pounds. The weight went on NOT due to overeating but through stress, sleep apnea, arthritis, and a few others that might be beyond your intellectual understanding. In the stores where I've shopped, anyone misusing the carts is questioned by the staff. I'm assuming you know how to read, so get your facts straight about disability before spreading your brand of 'fertilizer'. The same applies for the poster named 'annette'. In an age of instant information, it's amazing how some people would rather pontificate than research. If you haven't the mental capabilities to add some intelligence to a discussion, then stick with soap operas or Oprah or whatever might amuse your miniscule minds. You obviously have WAY too much time on your hands. Your 'laziness' is found in the space between your ears.
