Lenders require 2 years from a Chapter 7's discharge before issuing a mortgage. That's the bad news. The good news is there are a ton of desperate home sellers who will give you owner financing in order to sell a home. Most require 10% as a down payment. Many will even give you a great interest rate. Your best bet is with someone that has little or no mortgage on their home. Good luck.
