Digital Picture Frame for Switzerland

I am thinking of getting a digital picture frame for a gift for someone who lives in Switzerland. I have seen digital frames that say they are 100 to 240 volts. Can I just put a plug adaptor for Switzerland on the end of a US plug and just plug it in over there without it blowing up?
