Wouldn't it be easier to clean your gutter with a leaf blower? You can either blow out the down spout from the bottom and or top, then attach a curved pipe to the end of the blower to blow out the top. No ladder needed.

Mr. Jqna, as a matter of fact I have. You need to wear protective eye glass, and be prepared to pick a few leafs out of your hair, but it works. My neighbors seen the unusual sight of a fountian of leafs flying, and now they do the same thing. I used a pvc pipe and clamp with duck tape to seal the air from leaking at the connection.
Lily, It does work, I have one made by Sears that is several years old. It is basicly just three tubes that are extensions to the leaf blower one of them is curved.
