Different eating habits.

I have seen people around the world eating oranges in different way. Some people peel the oranges and leave a white covering from the skin, cut it in half and bite in to it like a cup, with out damaging the remaining skin. Most of the  people eat it in the normal way by peeling the entire orange and dividing it in to slices. I was amazed. I even saw people eating bananas with a knife and a fork, and for them it was the normal way. Is there a way to explain this ? Will there be a difference in the taste of the fruits if I will eat it in a different way?

The study of human eating behavior is carried out by researchers in various disciplines, since eating fulfils biological needs, but is also a source of pleasure and comfort, and reflects economic, social and cultural realities and perceptions. While clearly the biological drives of feeding, hunger and satiety have shared physiological bases with other mammals, including the primates, a central issue to the understanding of human eating is the characterization of specific human feeding traits, which are novel or distinct from those of other mammals.

When you try to understand the human eating diversity remember that humans raised within given cultural and social norms prefer customary foods and flavor combinations; however, within any socio-cultural context, different individuals may display varied likes and dislikes for particular foods.

Hi every one.

You can eat food any way you like it as long as you enjoy what you are eating. Some like to look stylish when they eat and some like to butter their fingers when they eat. I guess you should follow the rules of the majority you are sitting with . For example , if they are using forks and knives to cut bananas you ought to do the same .

Best wishes
