Parquet flooring is composed of wood strips laid together (board by board at the jobsite) to form a pattern. Many types of wood species are frequently used to create an alternation of color in the floor.



Parquetry is the less expensive alternative to parquet. It is prefabricated into squares at a factory. Only the most discerning eye can tell a parquetry floor from a true parquet floor.
