I have an Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Model that has a jerking at acceleration. I have replaced the alternator, water pump bearing, and a belt that runs the water pump assembly. What are possible problems that would cause this symptom?

Hi Mandy, If you feel like you are being kicked in the back on acceleration, it may be your transmission. That happened to me once, and I had to have a new transmission put in my car. Take your car to a good mechanic and have him check it out. Don't wait. Be safe, not sorry.

You might not be getting a smooth flow of gasoline. Check the fuel system including the fuel pump.
If you want it done and done right the first time do it yourself
maybe a bad fuel filter cloged injector
