How much insulin should I take daily so that I am not gaining or losing weight?

Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

This is something you need to work out with your doctor and the rest of the team that you are working with. You need to balance you meals, the amount of exercise, and the amount of insulin you take to avoid the extreme highs and lows that we experience. I say we because I have been living with Type 1 diabetes for close to 30 years and I know what you are going through.

Your weight issues should not be confused with your diabetic condition under no circumstances should you use your insulin to control weight.

Unfortunately, for diabetics, it is common for weight loss or gain to take place as the insulin dosage is changed. This is a natural occurrence of the body system and is a very complicated process. Seek advice from your doctor.

I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.

Nothing more to add to these answers. Most important thing is that you need to work out a plan with your doctor and check your blood sugars on a regular basis.
