What goes around comes around

First of all you should realize that laying an egg is not something to be taken lightly for a bird. This procedure brings along with it much stress which is probably one of the most common reasons for birds falling ill. I suggest try giving the bird, food that is easy to deal with (cereal and similar foods) in hope that it may encourage your bird to eat.

I hope this suggestion turns out to be useful to you.
