How quickly can a person who has permanent residency in Australia and lived here for 25 years, (British) obtain Australian citizenship? Application is straight forward, wife is Australian. Reason is British passport is out of date and travelling overseas in less than a week. Wants to become an Aussie and obtain an Australian passport before Fri 29th May 2009.
