416 thumbs up

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

In the first 3 ft., more than half of the light that penetrated the surfaces is absorbed by the water. Red is the first to be completely absorbed.
By 30 ft., only 20% of the original amount of the surface light is still visible.
Blue light is the last to go. At around 100 meters or 330 ft, only .5% of light is visible.
Red:         1 m/ 3.3 ft.

Yellow:     10 m/ 33 ft.

Green:      50 m/ 165 ft.
Blue:        100 m/ 330 ft.
